PMCC Computer consultations.  "No problem too small" (compare and save)

Here is some detail of what typical house calls or off-site consultations entail, with costs:

1. Installation services

a) basic complete setup - take everything out of box, connect, turn on, verify functionality of all parts - monitor, processor, keyboard, modem.  Rate: $25 per hour, Cap: $50

b) Advanced complete setup: as above, plus configure printer, scanner, wireless network, broadband connection. Rate: $25/hour Cap: $100

2. Troubleshoot / diagnosis

Something isn't working and you don't know what to do. Relax, and you don't even have to put your dogs away. I make house calls. Typically it takes at least an hour to analyze and diagnose your system. With unreasonably low rates I say "no problem is too small"

Rate is $25 per hour, rounded to nearest 1/5 of an hour beyond the first hour..  After diagnosis I give estimate of how long/how much it will cost to fix.  That quote will be a fixed price except if I have to buy parts.

3. Upgrade service

-from dialup to cable modem

-from dialup to DSL

-new printer, scanner

Rate: $25 per hour, cap $75.

4. Off-site (upgrade or purchase) consultation

Discuss with me your interests, needs, price range. I'll research and recommend something for you.

Rate $25/hour, or free if I also get the job as described in Situation 1 above.
